Breathe

Breathing is essential for all athletes, especially ball players. Oxygen is a necessity for life and to perform at the highest level, one must simply breathe. You might say, obviously you are breathing, its subconscious. There has been recent research to prove the performance in athletes with certain breathing patterns.

This method is call Diaphragmatic breathing. This method has been proven to exponentially improve you ability to lock in and react in certain situations.

The steps to the method are as follows:

  • Inhale slowly through your nose for 3 seconds
  • Hold your breath for 2 seconds
  • Slowly exhale through your mouth for 5 seconds

Doing these simple steps will allow your mind and body to relax and react! This is a necessity for athletes and others. It has a very similar affect to yoga, which I partake in as well 🙂 You will see the benefits are amazing. Doing such simple breathing exercises can take you mind and body and create success.

I have used breathing throughout the game of baseball for the past year and I have only seen improvements in my performance. Not to mention, my mental health has seen dramatic strides forward as well. This is a super easy way to dial in and create success for your body. It frees your mind to be able to lock in.
